Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• No current placement allowed at Program: Nashville General Hospital - Direct.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read telemetry strips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 2 years or more of experience in the past three years preferred.

Required Credentials: - Arrhythmia readings and heparin distribution testing required prior to orientation.

Special Requests: - Must be able to work holidays; cannot request all holidays off.

Unit Details: - Forensics Med-Surg/Telemetry unit caring for the incarcerated population. - Charge or preceptor duties may be required.

Shift & Scheduling: - No set schedule. - Must be able to work weekends.

Floating Requirements: - Floating required within the candidate’s scope of practice.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB
