Neurology Physician

ATC Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist for locum tenens coverage beginning November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a neurologist who enjoys a balanced practice that combines outpatient care with hospital coverage, EEG interpretation, and weekend call. With a manageable patient volume of 6 8 patients per day, you ll have the opportunity to provide thoughtful, high-quality care without an overwhelming census.

• Location: Northern Michigan
• Practice Setting: Hospital and outpatient clinic
• Start Date: November 2026
• Ongoing Coverage: Available
• Schedule: Regular hours, generally 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Outpatient Clinic: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 1:00 PM 3:00 PM, incorporated into the onsite day
• Weekend Call: 24-hour call, 8:00 AM 8:00 AM
• Patient Volume: Approximately 6 8 patients per day
• EMR: Cerner
• Support: Hospital-based clinical resources and multidisciplinary support

Clinical Responsibilities

This role offers a diverse mix of diagnostic and procedural neurology, including:

• EEG interpretation for inpatient and outpatient patients
• Lumbar punctures
• Brain death examinations
• Evoked potentials
• Radiologic exam interpretation
• Hospital coverage when outpatient appointments are not scheduled
• After-hours call coverage

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neurology Required
• Active Michigan medical license Required
• Active DEA Required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred
• Local physicians preferred; no flight arrangements required
