Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nursing professional looking to grow within a dynamic and supportive Skilled Nursing Facility environment.

Salary: Up to $130,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff
  • Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor resident care to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Support infection control, quality assurance, and risk management programs
  • Help prepare for state surveys and ensure ongoing survey readiness
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Prior experience in a supervisory nursing role within a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
