Full job description
Our client, a logistics and supply chain organization, is seeking a Materials Clerk to join their team. As a Materials Clerk, you will be part of the logistics department supporting shipping, receiving, inventory management, and process transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Materials Clerk
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $19.40
Shift: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents and resolving discrepancies
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods accurately
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistics issues
- Manage transactions related to outsourced processes, ensuring proper documentation
- Adhere to safety regulations and promote a safety-conscious work environment
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a logistics clerk or similar role
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
