Full job description
A growing professional services firm is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support its HR team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to build a well-rounded career with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
Overview
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR team, this role helps ensure a seamless employee experience while contributing to key HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data
- Support recruiting and onboarding, including job postings, interview scheduling, background checks, offer letters, and new hire orientation
- Assist with payroll, benefits, leave administration, and performance review documentation
- Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, and employee communications
- Track compliance training, acknowledgments, and required employment documentation
- Support I-9 and E-Verify processes
- Edit and maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and internal resources
- Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (ADP experience preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
