Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. LPNs have responsibility to perform direct patient care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse, within the guidelines established in specific Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities include medication administration, data collection and documentation, implementation of the plan of care through defined interventions and collaborating to meet patient and/or family education and discharge needs. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining knowledge, through updated information, regarding unit practices, patient care specific to assigned unit and regulatory changes. Performs other duties as related to the Business Unit.
Qualifications
- Certification of completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse program with an active CT LPN license.
Recent experience in the provision of direct patient care including medication administration required. Evidence of demonstrated competence in basis nursing intervention.
