Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.12 - $27.65 / hour

Are you an experienced Laboratory Technician looking for an opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a collaborative physician-office setting? LPG Urology is looking for a skilled and dependable Laboratory Technician to join our team in Fort Myers!
Youll play an important role in providing accurate, timely laboratory testing that helps physicians deliver exceptional patient care. π
π¬ What You'll Do
As a Laboratory Technician, you'll support the daily operation of our Urology physician-office laboratory and help ensure quality results and excellent patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
π§ͺ Performing moderate-complexity clinical laboratory testing in accordance with regulatory requirements
π Verifying, processing, and preparing specimens
π¬ Reading microscopy slides and accurately documenting results in EPIC
π Performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Completing quality control activities and maintaining accurate documentation
π Successfully completing required proficiency testing
π» Utilizing laboratory information systems and electronic medical records
π Supporting staff competency requirements
Prioritizing workload to meet patient and departmental needs
π€ Providing exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, coworkers, and other Lee Health team members
π‘ Participating in process improvement initiatives to improve turnaround times and the quality of test results
π What You'll Need
Education
Associate's degree required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
2 years of experience required
Clinical laboratory experience preferred
Minimum of 1 year of clinical setting experience
Working knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, including:
Specimen requirements and testing
LIS systems
Quality control
External proficiency testing
CLIA requirements for moderately complex laboratories
Licensure
Florida Medical Technician License required
Certification
MLT/CLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred/required as applicable
Current Florida MLT license or Florida state license application in process
