QA Release Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the autonomous vehicle industry, is seeking a dedicated QA Release Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a QA Release Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Software Quality Assurance department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $95/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Analyze pull requests from developers, performing functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify potential risks or issues, triage scenarios flagged by the system, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address them.
• Report and track regressions and defects systematically, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Continuously improve QA processes to prevent performance degradation and enhance overall development efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience of at least 6 years as a QA Engineer or similar role in software quality assurance.
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies and testing tools such as TestRail or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of various testing methodologies including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Experience with issue tracking and project management tools like Jira, along with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
