Full job description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Bowling Green, KY as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from critical illness and complex conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will complete comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans focused on discharge progression, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document care accurately, and support student learning and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Kentucky Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or long-term acute care settings preferred. Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and materials handling. Ability to complete timely, accurate charting including daily notes, goal writing, discharge documentation, and charge entry. Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage individual, concurrent, and group treatments.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with equipment trialing and arranging durable medical equipment for discharge planning. Prior experience supervising or precepting students and providing clinical instruction. Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and regulatory documentation requirements.
