Reimagine What’s Possible
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer of Automation to support critical technology systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production-impacting issues, supporting both IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems, and working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Cybersecurity, IT, and vendor teams to ensure reliable plant operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting technology in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment and be comfortable working directly on the production floor. This individual must be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take ownership of issues through resolution. Success in this role requires a strong troubleshooting mindset, a commitment to safety and operational reliability, and the ability to support complex IT–OT environments.
Required Skills
Experience providing Tier 2/3 support for IT and OT environments.
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across applications, services, servers, workstations, connectivity, and enterprise systems.
Experience with software installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle support.
Familiarity with industrial systems such as SCADA, Historian, AVEVA, or similar manufacturing platforms.
Understanding of IT–OT integrations and plant-floor technology environments.
Ability to troubleshoot across multiple technology layers, including endpoints, servers, networks, applications, and industrial systems.
Experience supporting production-critical systems requiring high availability and reliability.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, change management, and compliance requirements in manufacturing environments.
Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, production-support environment.
Comfortable responding to urgent issues, outages, and production-impacting incidents.
Minimum Hiring Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, OT systems, manufacturing technology, or industrial systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, plant, or operations environment.
Proven experience providing hands-on technical support in environments where system downtime directly impacts production.
Experience supporting industrial or enterprise software platforms used in manufacturing operations.
Ability to work in manufacturing facilities, production areas, and plant-floor environments while adhering to site safety requirements.
Willingness to provide off-hours support for critical outages, upgrades, deployments, or production-impacting incidents as needed.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work based on safety, production impact, and business urgency.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering reliable technology support.
