Position Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients. Located at the Balance Booster Rehab Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida, this full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient setting focused on restoring strength and mobility to individuals recovering from injuries and surgeries. Work Environment
As a PTA at our Pembroke Pines location, you will work in a fully-equipped hospital facility dedicated to outpatient services. The therapeutic atmosphere promotes healing and recovery, allowing for a seamless flow between different areas of care. Our skilled team operates from Monday to Friday, with flexible shift options designed to promote work-life balance, such as traditional 8 AM – 4 PM or 9 AM – 5 PM hours, or even four 10-hour shifts, ensuring that weekends are free for personal time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing hands-on therapy techniques and structured exercise programs.
- Guide patients through exercises tailored to their specific rehabilitation goals, encouraging engagement and compliance with their recovery processes.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy space, ensuring that all necessary equipment is operational and safe for patient use.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, progress, and any concerns they may have, fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work primarily with patients striving to regain their mobility and independence after various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related mobility issues. Your interactions and personalized care plans will be crucial for their recovery, as you help to enhance their physical capabilities and overall quality of life.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Current Florida PTA license is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 55,000 to 60,000, reflecting your skills and experience. In addition to competitive pay, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
