Full job description

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an Occupational Therapist / Driver Rehab Specialist to support safe, independent community mobility. In this on-site role, you will complete comprehensive OT and driver rehabilitation evaluations, including visual, cognitive, physical, and perceptual assessments to determine driving readiness. You will design and deliver individualized treatment and training plans, recommend adaptive equipment and vehicle modifications, and provide on-road training in collaboration with certified driver specialists. Working within a collaborative, academic health system, you will partner closely with physicians, neuropsychology, PT, and care teams to guide fitness-to-drive decisions and support patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and age-related conditions. Responsibilities include thorough documentation in the EMR, patient and family education, and participation in program development and evidence-based practice initiatives.
