Full job description
Pay Rate: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily quality operations, including inspection, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Lead quality control audits and support external inspections or certifications.
- Train and develop quality technicians in inspection techniques and procedures.
- Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and reports; ensure traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and support new product development.
- Assist in managing quality-related KPIs and reporting to upper management.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.).
- Proficient in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA.
- Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems; ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Advance computer skills (excel, word, PowerPoint, SFIS, etc.)
- Forklift operations

Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role; experience in building materials is a plus.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions:
- About 50% of work is done in an office setting with 50% being on the production floor
- Typically works 40-50 hours per week with overtime required as quality, production, shipping, or warehouse demands dictate. Will be a day shift position with no rotating (except when filling in for a Quality Technician).
Travel Requirement
- Less than 10% percentage of travel time expected for this position, travel will be primarily for training and working in cross functional teams.
