About the position:
The role of Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and performing preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on all mobile equipment at EA and EEC.

The role of Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and performing preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs on all mobile equipment at EA and EEC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all mobile equipment.
- Fabricates parts if not commercially available.
- Services electronic equipment by checking, testing and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.
- Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous mobile equipment noted and corrective action taken.
- Order and expedite parts necessary to ensure equipment is repaired and maintained at all times.
- Maintain a spare parts inventory.
- Adheres to housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment.
- Welds/burns as required.
- Performs other duties as required or directed, as they become necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Formal apprenticeship or completion of in-plant training program.
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience a must.
- Electrical and hydraulic experience necessary, journeyman a plus.
- Able to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
- Bend, stand, for extended periods of time and withstand exposure to heat and cold.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
- Able to work all shifts, flexible hours and mandatory overtime.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions and work without constant supervision.
- Able to read schematics.
- Willing to pursue additional training.
- Familiar with AC/DC power and PLC experience preferred.
