Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Division in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. You will play an important role in responding to site needs while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions as required and assisting with directional support and general inquiries.
- Work in varied indoor and/or outdoor conditions while maintaining awareness of surroundings, communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities when situations call for additional support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy certificate or a Corrections Academy certificate.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.

- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
