Job Description

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Human Resources Manager that is responsible for the Human Resources operations at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. The Human Resources Manager will utilize solid business acumen to assertively partner with the management team regarding HR, staffing, policies/procedures, compliance and general management topics. He/she is responsible for providing and maintaining extraordinary levels of service through a high level of influence, execution, and prioritizing duties.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners with operations to develop and execute a proactive staffing plan. This includes partnering with corporate Talent Acquisition and others to ensure accurate job postings, consistent hiring events and partnerships with contingent staffing vendors.
  • Leads positive employee relations efforts.
  • Develops and executes staffing plans and executes on-boarding processes for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate/district level policies and federal/state governmental agencies and communicates benefits, policy and other HR related changes.
  • Trains and coaches management/supervisory staff in interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, counseling, diversity, disciplinary and regulatory compliance.
  • Participates with HR Team and others on corporate level projects.
  • Manages and reports required HR business metrics (diversity, area labor market info, staffing, etc.).
  • Maintains accurate information in electronic and paper employee records.
  • Leads resolution of employee relations issues and conducts investigations as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Human Resources planning and organizational development experience desired.
  • Candidates must be bilingual and possess the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent.
  • Experience managing a union environment is required.
  • Employment relations experience including conducting investigations and resolution development required.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate and consult with multiple levels of management on a routine basis.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create presentations and effectively present information are required.

  • Solid understanding of financial and business objectives and analytical/problem solving skills is required.
  • Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist.
  • Ability to identify problems/issues, analyze these issues, identify possible solutions and implement a solution is required. Ability to evaluate and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information or standard processes exist is required.
