We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Tax Associate to join our vibrant Accounting and Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing income tax returns, providing tax planning services to our clients, and assisting in the development and implementation of tax strategies. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, including researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client savings.
4. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely tax return preparation.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
6. Provide exceptional customer service to clients by promptly responding to inquiries and providing clear and concise tax advice.
7. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
8. Identify tax risks and opportunities for improvement in the current tax process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and review, preferably in a public accounting firm.
3. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus.
