General Labor

Our client, a leading provider in the lumber and building materials industry, is seeking a dedicated 1st Shift General Labor to join their team. As a 1st Shift General Labor, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations supporting the efficient handling and organization of materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow safety procedures, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Labor

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: 16.00 – 17.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM until finish (typically 10–12 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

• Load and unload lumber and building materials from trucks
• Stack, sort, and organize lumber in the yard
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with assembling fence panels using hand tools and nail guns
• Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures

What's Needed?

• Previous experience in light industrial, warehouse, or general labor environments required
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Comfortable working long hours in varying weather conditions
• Experience using a nail gun or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
