Position Overview:
Manage the daily transactions of all items received to the dock, including all paperwork for receiving and enter into Oracle system. Assist shipping department as needed. Assist with managing supply crib inventory and manage the flow of materials in and out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement staff to determine expected deliveries and assist with any matching hold issues that arise.
- Assist shipping department as needed.
- Verify, sign off and enter receipt of incoming shipments into Oracle in a timely manner.
- Visually inspect contents to ensure packages aren’t damaged.
- Responsible for accuracy of documents and verifying receipts with open orders.
- Compare identifying information (counts, weights or measures) of shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Maintain accurate files and records.
- Assist in inventory control including physical inventories monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Assist with WIP audits and inventories as needed.
- Assist with the receipt of alloy and moving into the alloy crib along with the Lead Crib Attendant.
- Accuracy and close attention to detail is a must.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working Environment: Shop floor;
- The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery
- Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
- Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
- Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant
Qualifications:
- Strong work history.
- Prior manufacturing experience desired.
- Desire to work with your hands in a production environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Must be willing to participate in pre-employment drug screening.
- Some positions require vision screening with or without corrective lenses.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required.
- Certifications/Licenses: Tow-motor license
- Ability to read. Basic Math skills. Basic Computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Detail orientation. Accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Product Engineer Instructions (PEI). Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership. Ability to read and legibly write numbers and letters. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
