Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Required Skills/Experience: At least 1 travel assignment.

Special Requests: Travel pairs are not accepted for Tele units. No holiday RTO.

Unit Details: Currently designated COVID Med-Surg/Tele; all RNs will care for the COVID-19 population if needed. Adult patients 18+; medical-surgical patients with all diagnoses except no NSTEMI or cardiac arrhythmias, plus medical overflow and occasional general surgery patients. Uses Cerner documentation and Pyxis. Equipment and procedures include Hospira Plum 360 IV pumps, wound vacs, trachs, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring on the unit, CBI, 12-lead EKGs, BIPAP/CPAP on nights, dressing changes, IV fluids, antibiotics, blood products, and heparin; no cardiac drips. Phlebotomy is an RN responsibility, with occasional PCA assistance when available. Includes negative airflow rooms.

Shift & Scheduling: 4-week schedule. Self-scheduling, modified via Opti-Link. Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per month. Holidays as required. Maximum 7 consecutive days of RTO.

Floating Requirements: Travelers float first to Diabetes, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and other med-surg units within the division, in rotation with staff or as needed.
