Full job description
- Plan and host Caregiver Café gatherings.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Coordinate guest speakers, discussion topics, and refreshments.
- Foster open, respectful dialogue and ensure all voices are heard.
- Collaborate with Seacoast Dementia Hub staff and volunteers to promote cafés and share feedback.
Commitment: 3–5 hours per month
All volunteers must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in dementia care or caregiving. Combination of both preferred.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to complete training.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries.
- Preferred: Experience working with older adults, trauma-informed care, or peer support.
