Summary of Responsibilities:
About the RoleJoin ATC’s Operations Engineering Intern Program to support the reliability and efficiency of our electrical transmission system. You’ll be contributing to something that truly matters, keeping power flowing to homes and businesses across the Midwest, while working in a collaborative, tech-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze transmission system issues and perform event reviews
• Support the development of operating plans used by System Operators
• Partner with other utilities and regulatory entities on outage coordination
• Help improve processes that support electric grid reliability
• Gain hands-on experience in real-time operations and reliability strategy
What You Bring
• A student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Interested in how the transmission grid supports sustainable energy and meets the future energy needs of society
• A critical thinker who’s curious about system operations and reliability
• Comfortable working in a range of setting including independently and on cross-functional teams

The pay range for this position is $23-27/hr. The pay range is a general guideline. Employment offers are evaluated individually and consider qualifications, experience and academic achievements.
