SUMMARY: The NBD Sales Specialist is responsible for driving new business growth through strategic prospecting, relationship development, and opportunity management. This role focuses on identifying and engaging target accounts, influencing the sales process, and collaborating with internal teams to support successful customer acquisition and production launches. The position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on business development objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement prospecting strategy for penetration of accounts and capture of new business.
  • Able to network with and identify decision makers at target accounts, discover viable opportunities, solicit a request for quotation, determine targeted pricing/milestones and assist in facilitating eventual production launch.
  • Work with marketing to develop content and contact lists for target accounts in critical markets.
  • Comfortable answering client questions regarding product lines/capabilities, competitor differentiation and value proposition on the fly.
  • Coordinate, attend, and document customer meetings with full meeting agenda, action items, etc.
  • Follow-up on meeting with customers and internally to ensure critical milestones are met.
  • Building relationships and networking with target accounts.
  • This position does require travel to clients, approximately 25%-30% of travel is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Office, and CRM systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing personality needed.
  • Sales experience targeted industries including Aerospace/Defense, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, and/or Semiconductor equipment preferred but not required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably a technical or engineering degree
  • 5+ years of targeted sales experience
