Job Description :

L3Harris in Clifton, NJ is seeking a versatile Digital Circuit Card Assembly design engineer to support the design and manufacturing of Electronic Warfare (EW) products for ground and airborne-based military applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of digital circuit design with emphasis on Processor, Digital receiver and Interface design and development.

Essential Functions:

· Responsible for all aspects of Digital CCA product development, including system and module level design and definition, schematic capture, circuit design, derating, and Worst-Case Analysis (WCA).

· Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for IDR/PDR/CDR.

· Support internal peer reviews, design verification testing of engineering units, and oversight of production.

· Perform circuit analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

· Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results

· Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

· Write scripts to control synthesis and build tools

· Conduct design verification testing of engineering units and provide oversight of design through production

·Digital Design requires experience with:

oProgrammable logic devices

oDigital Logic

oDigital communications interfaces such as SPI, PCIe, Ethernet

oHigh density interconnect and semiconductor packaging technology

oDigital Signal Processors chips

oWaveform generation

oWriting Scripts

o Lab equipment

Qualifications :

· BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required and at least 4 years of years of industry experience OR: MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years of industry experience

· Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level

· Experience performing schematic capture and overseeing PCB layout

· Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Digital HW design, test and integration at the circuit card or module level (schematic capture, BOM generation, layout or layout supervision).

· Understanding of digital design fundamentals to include modem architectures, power supplies, interfacing with ADCs, FPGAs, and more.

· Ability to independently develop test procedures and conduct design verification testing.

Preferred Additional Skills:

·Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace industry or Optical Engineering

·Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills

·Knowledge of MATLAB, Python

·Experience with CCA design verification test/troubleshooting

·Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts

·Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts,
New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $92,500 - $171,500.
