Your Job:
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The primary purpose of the Scheduler position is to schedule all patient procedures and services. Verification of health plan eligibility and benefits. Obtain referrals, authorizations and precertification for all patient service types.
Your Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred
• Successful completion of basic medical terminology class required prior to employment or within six months of hire date
• 1 year medical appointment scheduling.

Methodist Southwest Medical Center, previously known as Methodist Charlton Medical Center, is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glen Heights in southwestern Dallas County. In addition to the new 40,000-square-foot expansion of the emergency department, we offer a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite; a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit.
