Job Details
The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing personal injury cases through all stages of litigation in state and federal court. The ideal candidate is confident handling an active caseload, enjoys advocacy, and is eager to develop or expand their trial experience.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with clients, evaluate claims, and file lawsuits
Manage cases from filing through resolution and trial
Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery
Prepare for and conduct fact witness depositions
Identify, retain, and work with appropriate expert witnesses
Prepare for and attend hearings
Prepare for and attend mediations
Negotiate cases with opposing counsel and insurance representatives
Prepare cases for trial and try cases through verdict
Prepare and file appropriate post-trial motions
Participate in file audits, litigation meetings, trial preparation, and attorney training programs
Provide direction and guidance to legal support staff throughout the litigation process
Qualifications
Florida Bar license in good standing
1–5 years of personal injury litigation experience
Ability to manage a large and active caseload
Experience handling cases through multiple stages of litigation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent negotiation and analytical abilities
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with legal support staff
Confident courtroom presence
Genuine interest in litigation and trying cases
