Logistics Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an essential part of the operations support team, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to excellence, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Clive, IA

Pay Range: $20-$28 DOE

Shift: Day shift

What's the Job?

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; communicate load status to receivers and customers
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely and condition-compliant arrivals
• Take check calls from drivers, validate load data, and ensure loads are delivered on time for accurate accounting
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete necessary documentation

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of logistics experience
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence effectively
• Strong understanding of instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
