Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

  • Support Servers and the Front of House team in delivering a seamless, welcoming, and efficient dining experience. 
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately while maintaining presentation, temperature, quality, and timing standards. 
  • Verify food orders for accuracy, completeness, appropriate accompaniments, and special requests prior to delivery. 
  • Maintain knowledge of The Café menu, including ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, garnishes, and daily offerings. 
  • Understand the culinary philosophy and New Orleans influences represented by Chef Emeril Lagasse at The Café. 
  • Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, allergies, and modifications accurately between Culinary and Front of House teams. 
  • Assist with food and beverage service while maintaining established service standards. 
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to guest requests. 
  • Assist Servers with pre-bussing, clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables. 
  • Safely transport food, beverages, dishes, glassware, utensils, trays, and service equipment throughout operational areas. 
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appropriate stock levels at expo areas, service stations, dining areas, and back-of-house pathways. 
  • Communicate effectively with Servers, Culinary, Stewarding, Host, and other Food & Beverage colleagues. 
  • Assist with VIP experiences, special events, and high-volume periods as assigned. 
  • Maintain familiarity with Fairmont New Orleans amenities, services, outlets, and events. 
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Fairmont New Orleans standards. 
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, stocking, cleaning, and side work. 
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. 
  • Uphold the culinary and hospitality standards associated with Chef Emeril Lagasse and Fairmont New Orleans. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

  • Previous restaurant, food runner, busperson, café, banquet, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred. 
  • Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an asset. 
  • Passion for food, beverage, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume service. 
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow. 
  • Professional appearance and polished demeanor required. 
  • Ability to follow instructions and operational procedures consistently. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Must possess or be able to obtain required Louisiana food safety certifications.
