Work Environment

This position is situated onsite at a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Fernley, Nevada, where a close-knit team collaborates to provide exceptional orthopedic care. You will work a standard schedule of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a professional environment that promotes patient-centered approaches. The facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and resources designed to enhance the effectiveness of therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, taking into account their medical history, physical capabilities, and personal goals.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Employ advanced manual therapy methods, therapeutic exercise regimens, and functional training techniques to restore strength, mobility, and overall function.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education on injury prevention strategies, proper movement mechanics, and tailored home exercise programs.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and other medical professionals to strategize and optimize patient treatment pathways.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to ensure effective communication across healthcare teams.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation practices and actively participate in continued education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, individuals undergoing rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries, and patients managing chronic pain due to orthopedic conditions. Your expertise will help patients navigate their rehabilitation journeys with tailored care that emphasizes their unique needs and lifestyles.

Qualifications

  • A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada is required.
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong foundation in orthopedic principles and practices, with an emphasis on patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits
