Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Operational Excellence and the Business Development (BD) Excellence team. You will be a liaison for the BD Excellence Teams for Enterprise Priority Captures, Enterprise Governance, Standards, & Training, Talent Development, and Stakeholder Engagement, ensuring smooth daily operations, coordinated cross‑functional activity, and high‑quality communications.
You’ll be at the heart of a collaborative, high‑energy environment where your organizational expertise directly contributes to mission‑critical business development initiatives. Growth, input, and mutual support are not just encouraged—they’re expected.
This position will be located at our Falls Church, VA Corporate Office.
What You’ll Do
Manage the team’s calendar, travel, and expense reports.
Organize and host in‑person and virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams, Skype); prepare agendas, minutes, and track follow‑up actions.
Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, presentations, and reports for senior leadership.
Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling confidential information with discretion.
Coordinate cross‑team projects, track deliverables, and maintain SharePoint/intranet resources, and coordinating materials for export control approvals where appropriate.
Anticipate needs, troubleshoot issues, and keep information flow timely and accurate.
Support on‑site and off‑site events, ensuring all logistics are covered.

Highly organized and self‑motivated; able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communicator with strong written and oral skills; comfortable interacting with executives and diverse teams.
Discreet and diplomatic, handling sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality.
Tech‑savvy, quickly adopting new tools to improve efficiency.
Team‑oriented, yet capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma + 6 years admin experience or Bachelor’s degree + 2 years admin experience.
Office Software: Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Salesforce, SharePoint, internet/intranet, et.al.
Virtual Meetings: Experience hosting/participating in Zoom, Teams, Skype, etc.
Travel & Expenses: Proficient with Concur, ITRIP.
Judgment & Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle executive‑level information with tact and discretion.
Independent Initiative: Anticipates needs, solves problems, meets tight deadlines.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance (up to TS/SCI).
Preferred Qualifications
Active Top‑Secret/SCI clearance.
Expert‑level written and verbal communication.
Proven track record compiling reports and building presentations independently.
Experience coordinating large on‑site/off‑site meetings or events.
Demonstrated ability to manage several administrative projects simultaneously.
Quick adopter of new technologies to streamline global team workflows.
