As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Clearance Required in HERNDON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will support a controlled environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Pay Rate: $24.37 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
