Position Overview
Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our onsite hospital facility located in the vibrant city of Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time position offers the opportunity to directly impact patients' rehabilitation journeys while working closely with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. The PTA will play a critical role in executing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients’ mobility and overall quality of life.

Work Environment
This position is based in a hospital setting, where collaboration among healthcare professionals is paramount. The PTA will work onsite from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient scheduling needs. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, ensuring that you have everything necessary to provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s rehabilitation needs.
- Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities to enhance strength, mobility, and pain management.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, developing home exercise programs to support their recovery.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
- Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are easily accessible for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Support patients emotionally throughout their rehabilitation by fostering a positive and motivating environment.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respect for patient rights.

The Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes needing rehabilitation from sports injuries, and older adults regaining strength after illness. Understanding the specific challenges faced by these varied groups will be essential to effectively tailor treatment plans that facilitate optimal recovery.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and principles of physical therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and effectively collaborating with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
