Full job description
Our client, within the food and beverage industry is seeking an EHS Manager to join their team. As a EHS Manager, you will be part of the Safety and Compliance Department supporting Manufacturing Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Eugene, Oregon 97402 (open to relocation)
Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 + 10% Bonus
What's the Job?
- Lead and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage and guide the EHS team, including overseeing the EHS Specialist and developing safety initiatives.
- Develop and oversee safety compliance, environmental sustainability, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to promote safety policies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify workplace hazards, develop control programs, and support accident investigations with timely follow-up.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with environmental regulations specific to WA, CA or OR.
- Strong background in safety program development, audits, training, and compliance.
- Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and workers’ compensation processes preferred.
- Proven ability to influence, lead, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
