Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Unit Details: Direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary. Prepare, implement, and document plan of care. Communicate patient’s condition to physician before, during, and after procedures. Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures. Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures. Multimodality lab supporting cath lab, vascular, IR, EP, and neuro procedures. Uses Merge Hemo.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Must be flexible. On-call 7-10 days per month.

5 days maximum time off
