Full job description

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and facility systems.


  • Location: Snohomish, WA
  • Pay: $28/hr
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (occasionally 6:00 AM–3:00 PM)
  • Overtime: Occasional Saturdays, 4–5 hours
  • Assignment Duration: 3-6 months


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preventative maintenance — Performs routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems
  • Repair assistance — Assists in repairing woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts following manuals and manufacturer specifications
  • Orders necessary supplies and replacement parts
  • Completes preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled
  • Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Performs duties in alignment with established safety rules and procedures
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participates in safety meetings, continuous improvement programs, and other required sessions
  • If assigned to the Treating Department, follows hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures
  • Prepares required reports and documentation
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1+ year machine repair experience in a maintenance environment
  • Technical knowledge — Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control technology, and welding.
