Full job description

An established and leading Precision Timing & Frequency Technology Firm are looking for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer.


The firm is seeking a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to design and develop electronic systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Present product design solutions to customers at technical design reviews.
  • Electrical design of FPGA, board, and system-level hardware. Support PWB layout activities.
  • Create system, sub-system, interface, and protocol specifications from external and internal requirements.
  • Support the creation of production and engineering test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Supervise product integration, verification, and validation testing.


Qualifications:

  • BSEE with 10 or more years of experience in the design and development of electronic systems.
  • Systems engineering experience working with internal and external customers to develop hardware and software requirements, solutions, and documentation for new products.
  • System design and development using embedded GNSS and M-Code/SAASM GPS receivers.
  • Network design experience including Ethernet and Precision Time Protocol (PTP).
  • Experience in the design of embedded microprocessor systems.
  • FPGA design experience using a hardware description language.
  • Schematic capture experience
  • Experience leading engineering development teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship


Salary: Up to 190k base (can go higher for the right person)
