Shift
3rd Shift
Description
Supervise, schedule and lead QA Technicians and team members, ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance. Communicate with USDA team members. Monitor plant floor for quality and food safety issues. Provide training for the weekly QA meetings. Monitor samples submission form before packing. Perform QA hold releases and transactions and WH transfers. Help with any implementation of programs and procedures. Create, maintain and verify maintain paperwork of all production and quality paperwork. Order supplies as needed. Oversee hold releases. Communicate when product is out of specification with the management team and techs. Assist in preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third party audits Ensure compliance with regulatory programs Perform document reviews, ensuring completion and accuracy All other relevant duties as required
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required, preferably Bachelor degree in Food, Animal, Poultry Science or other closely related field Previous QA and food manufacturing experience Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry or meat processing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient computer and analytical skills Detail oriented

Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
- Frequently sit for long periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- May be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
- May be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
- Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
