Full job description
Location: Community Hospital, Southern California / Metro Los Angeles Area
Start Date: March 2026
Contract Length: 26 weeks (Ongoing coverage until permanent staff is hired)
Credentialing Timeframe: 4+ months (Emergency privileging options being explored)
License: California CRNA license required
Weekdays and Weekends
7 shifts/week :
Saturday Sunday: One 12-hour CRNA per day
Coverage options:
1 CRNA for 3 12-hour shifts + 1 CRNA for 4 12-hour shifts (blocked shifts), OR
2 CRNAs for 2 12-hour shifts + 1 CRNA for 3 12-hour shifts
Scheduling model: Committee-prepared, up to 5 months in advance
No call required
This state-of-the-art community hospital serves an underserved adult population in the Los Angeles area. The patient population is generally ASA 3 and above , primarily Spanish-speaking, and requires skilled anesthesia care. CRNAs work in a care team model with a physician partner 1:1; only one CRNA is on per shift.
Patient & Case MixPatient Population: Adults only, mostly high-acuity/ASA 3+
Primary Focus: OB anesthesia
C-sections
Epidurals
Other Cases: GI, GYN, Neurology, IR, Bread-and-Butter anesthesia
Average Cases per Shift: 5 6, with 2 3 epidurals/C-sections per day
CRNAs manage pre-op assessments and workups for their own patients
