Full job description

Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate machines by loading bar stock and unloading parts from the machine.
  • Perform machine adjustments to achieve the correct dimensions, finishes and quality.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues on the machine as needed.
  • Effectively preset tooling prior to placing into machine.
  • Perform any necessary machine adjustments or repairs in a safe manner.
  • Identify when tooling needs replaced and change tooling effectively.
  • Understand and follow work instructions, set-up sheets, routers, inspection plans and be able to properly set-up machines per customer requirements.
  • Effectively gauge and measure parts produced
  • 5S work area on a daily basis.
  • Assist other departments with projects as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with micrometers and other measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of G code preferred
  • Understand and complies with ISO procedures
  • Ability to read routers and blueprint drawings
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate physical effort consisting of:
    • Frequently lifting or moving material up to 35 pounds.
