Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in Jersey City, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, assist with security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entrances, parking areas, and facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
