Job Description:

Position Summary

Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners is seeking an exceptional Director of Development and Construction to join its team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development and Construction, this person will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of site development of multiple retail/commercial projects.

This role is based on site, in the Frisco, TX office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee entitlement process from start of project through commencement of construction and be permitted to utilize consultants, where applicable
  • Create preliminary budgets for all projects
  • Create and manage overall schedules for all projects
  • Oversee and manage design for all sites including architectural, civil engineering, landscape design, signage, etc.
  • Manage information and reporting aspects of all projects using eBuilder, including documentation control, project milestones and cost reporting for overall project through development and com-pletion of construction
  • Manage outside consultants assigned to specific projects, this includes: Geotech consultant; Environmental engineers; Architects; Civil Engineers; Surveyors; Sign Vendors; and Attorneys, as required for entitlement work
  • Travel required as necessary to support the project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of BS in Project and/or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent track record of on-time, in-budget performance
  • Proactive & solutions-oriented; innovative
  • Adapts quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution of the company and industry

  • Strong attention to detail; accurate

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in development and construction of retail/commercial buildings
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project, as well as web-based project management software system similar to Expesite
  • Travel is required as necessary to support the project

Salary

  • Base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience
