Position Overview

Heal And Align Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida. This full-time role requires a licensed PTA who will collaborate closely with our experienced Physical Therapists to provide effective rehabilitation services tailored to our diverse patient population. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our onsite hospital facility, you will work in a well-structured environment designed to facilitate recovery. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients. Our facility is modern, with dedicated rehab spaces to promote efficient therapy sessions, including areas for individual exercises and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on rehabilitation services by administering therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients in mobility training, which includes evaluating gait patterns and recommending modifications to improve functional movement.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to enhance treatment effectiveness and alleviate patient discomfort.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinic protocols.
  • Engage in patient and family education to foster understanding of home exercise programs and recovery strategies critical for successful rehabilitation.
  • Work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient responses and outcomes closely, providing feedback to the Physical Therapist for optimizing treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from young athletes to elderly individuals, all of whom are seeking to regain their strength, mobility, and functional independence.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensure: An active and valid PTA license to practice in the state of Florida is mandatory.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for effective patient interaction and teamwork.

Preferred Experience
