Full job description

About Us

Health is the most important thing in life, and the American healthcare system is completely broken - poor outcomes, high cost, bad patient experience. We're building a new system from the ground up.

Our mission is to improve people’s health by making it easy to live a healthy lifestyle.

Nourish is the country's largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic. We’re an AI-native digital health system matching patients with 10,000+ Registered Dietitians, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states. Founded four years ago, we've completed millions of appointments, tripled year-over-year, and partnered with health plans covering 200M+ Americans across 250+ health systems.

In 2026 we raised a $100M Series C, bringing total funding to $215M. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Thrive CapitalIndex VenturesJ.P. Morgan Growth Equity PartnersMaverick VenturesY CombinatorBoxGroupAtomicoDaybreak, and Operator Partners.

This is not a job for everyone. We hold an extremely high bar because we believe talent density is our biggest competitive advantage. We're looking for people who actively choose hard, ambiguous problems, who run toward unglamorous work, give and receive candid feedback, and bring relentless resilience without the ego. Our work is important, but we are not self-important. We do this because we’re solving one of the hardest problems in the world, and the problem matters. If that's you, we disproportionately reward it.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team and play a dual role: anchoring a rigorous month-end close and owning the operational systems that keep our day-to-day financials running. This is a growth stage accounting role in the fullest sense — you will do both technical accounting and operational work, and you will have real ownership of each.

Reporting to the Accounting Lead, you will be a cornerstone of the monthly close — preparing journal entries, owning reconciliations, and building audit-ready workpapers. At the same time, you will be the internal owner of our Ramp platform, managing accounts payable, employee expense reports, and corporate card spend end-to-end. These two tracks reinforce each other: the cleaner our operational processes, the cleaner our close.

We want someone who is genuinely curious about AI and automation — not just open to it, but actively looking for ways to use it. You'll be expected to dig into our workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose and implement improvements.

This role is full-time and located at Nourish’s NYC office in the heart of Gramercy, with remote flexibility. Occasional travel expected (e.g. to conferences, quarterly team meetings, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable, expense reporting and credit card processes within Ramp ensuring policy compliance, timely processing and account coding
  • Maintain and improve audit-ready workpapers and supporting schedules, building on the foundation established in our first audit
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and own the implementation of improvements
  • Bring curiosity and initiative to AI and automation — evaluate tools, run experiments, build AI workflows to automate manual/repeatable work, and implement solutions that make the team faster without sacrificing accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure accurate financial data
  • Support special projects such as GAAP conversion, new entity consolidation and automation initiatives

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • You have 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with previous public accounting experience (Big 4 & CPA preferred)
  • You have a strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close and audit processes
  • You have experience with spend management platforms — ideally Ramp — and are comfortable owning AP and expense operations, not just accounting for them
  • You are curious about AI and automation and have a track record of finding and implementing workflow improvements — not just flagging them
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience working with modern accounting systems and tools (e.g., Campfire, Ramp, Brex, ADP, Carta, QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or telehealth a plus
