Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering effective care by implementing treatment plans and interventions tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Educate and instruct patients on therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques, ensuring proper form and safety during sessions.
• Conduct assessments to gauge patient progress, documenting findings meticulously in patient medical records, and reporting on their condition to the supervising therapist.
• Collaborate within a team to evaluate, adjust, and recommend modifications to treatment plans based on patient responses and feedback.
• Provide compassionate support and encouragement to patients, recognizing their individual differences and personal challenges in their recovery journey.
• Maintain professional standards of care by adhering to ethical and legal regulations, including documentation and confidentiality requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Great Neck hospital, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or an equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure or certification to practice as a physical therapist assistant in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits
