The Systems & Sustainment, a sub strategic business unit within Naval Power, seeking a Program Director for the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) program. The RAM program is a fast-paced and complex US-German cooperative program, which is highly visible within both Raytheon and the US Navy (USN). The Program Director reports directly to the Sr. Director of Terminal Defense Systems (TDS) Portfolio and is responsible for the overall success of the RAM Program.

The RAM Program Director will be responsible for executing US Navy (to include Foreign Military Sales (FMS)) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts spanning development, production and in-service. The RAM Program Director will also be responsible for executing RAMSYS-prime German Navy and RAMSYS-prime DCS contracts as a sub-contractor. The director will set strategy, vision and direction for successful program execution focused on on-time deliveries and unprecedented capacity expansion at Raytheon and across our supply base to enable near, mid, and long-term business growth.

This role will require an individual to maintain and continue to strengthen our customer and industrial partner relationships and create future growth opportunities through those relationships, while supporting the RAM team’s strong culture of empowerment and accountability.

Will You Will Do:

• Strategic Leadership: Drive the overall strategic direction of the RAM program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Execution Excellence: Lead the flawless execution of production efforts, meeting or exceeding all contract deliverables, performance metrics, and customer expectations.
• Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders across supply chain, operations, engineering, contracts, and finance to deliver on AOP commitments and margin expansion.
• Customer Engagement: Interface with multiple US and German government and industry counterparts as well as US and foreign suppliers and partners, fostering trust and ensuring alignment on program objectives.
• Program Growth: Develop and execute growth strategies for domestic, international, and internal opportunities, ensuring the long-term success of the RAM portfolio.
• Financial Accountability: Oversee P&L responsibilities, AOP and financial metrics across the RAM program
• Risk Management: Lead risk identification and mitigation to ensure program stability and success.
• Mentorship and Team Development: Develop a team of high potential future leaders within the organization.
• Ability to travel Domestically and Internationally.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience
• Prior experience in program management with a history of leading large, complex US government and international programs.
• Prior experience with financials to include AOP development and execution as well as strong rigor around Estimates at Complete (EACs).
• Prior leadership experience in production environments with direct responsibility for P&L. Proven ability to drive large-scale program growth.
• Prior experience developing program-staffing requirements.
• Prior experience and success creating and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international customers and suppliers, and internal peers.

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage varied tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
• Extensive experience with U.S. Navy, NAVSEA, and international defense customers.
• Certification in EVMS and program management (e.g., PMP).
• Leadership experience using Lean/Agile methods to enable the development of capabilities in an iterative fashion.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
