About the role
Develops and implements outreach programs and events for Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) that engage members and prospective members and provide them with opportunities and experiences to increase their exposure to and/or build their leadership skills within Farm Bureau and/or the agriculture field.How does this role make an impact?
- Collaborates with colleagues on the development, direction and management of assigned programs. - Plans and executes meetings, events, conferences, and trips of various sizes, including building agendas, marketing and communication, securing sponsors, recruiting participants and volunteers, registration, detailed event logistics, and on-site facilitation. - Serves as an ambassador and spokesperson for IFB and assigned program(s) to promote a positive image within the industry and to the public, including presentations to audiences of all sizes. - Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff, county Farm Bureaus (CFBs) and volunteer leadership. Collaborates to promote various programs that engage prospective, new and existing members, including youth, collegiate and Young Leaders. - Administers social media platforms. - Provides staff assistance and support for division activities and/or represent IFB on various boards, committees and groups throughout the state, as assigned.Do you have what we're looking for?
Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. - Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate, including frequent long workdays. - Extensive travel throughout Illinois and out of state, with multiple overnight obligations each year. - Ability to lift 30-40 pounds to load, unload, and set up for special events. - Ability to participate in physical activities is desirable.Base Pay Range:
$62,000-$85,250The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
