Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will perform a range of duties that include but are not limited to:
- Administering therapy services as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist, tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Utilizing effective communication skills to educate patients and their families about treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
- Documenting patient progress and treatment interventions accurately in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with facility policies.
- Implementing infection control procedures and safety protocols to prevent the transmission of disease.
- Accepting clinical assignments that leverage your skills and training, always prioritizing patient safety and care efficiency.
- Participating in mandatory continuing education opportunities and in-service training programs to enhance your professional skills.
- Working effectively with an interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals who require rehabilitation due to various conditions such as post-operative recovery, chronic illnesses, and mobility challenges. Passion for working with seniors and a deep understanding of their unique needs is essential to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess:
- An Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
- The ability to provide therapeutic interventions that comply with all federal and state regulations.
- An eagerness to learn and grow within the profession, particularly in providing care to the elderly.
Preferred Experience
We welcome new graduates; however, preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar rehabilitation environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
