Position Overview
ProFlex Sports and Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Staff Physical Therapist to join our expanding team in Sparks, Nevada. This full-time role is pivotal in our orthopedic outpatient practice, where you will engage with a diverse patient clientele suffering from various musculoskeletal injuries. Work Environment
This position is based onsite in a hospital setting, where you will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic physicians, physician assistants, and other allied health staff. Our facility is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and tools, providing the ideal environment for you to deliver evidence-based physical therapy. Your daily work hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced and structured work-life experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical cases, and chronic pain.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's needs.
- Utilize a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training interventions to restore mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Provide ongoing education to patients about injury prevention, safe movement mechanics, and effective home exercise programs to support their rehabilitation journey.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians and medical staff to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and optimal patient outcomes.
- Continuously monitor and document patient progress using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet rehabilitation goals.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation and physical therapy methodologies to enhance clinical practice and patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working with a varied patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes with sports injuries, and patients experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain. This diverse clientele provides an enriching experience, allowing you to apply your skills across different rehabilitation scenarios and age groups.
Qualifications
- A valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Nevada is required.
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or an equivalent qualification is necessary for this position.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with colleagues.
- A patient-centered approach rooted in compassion and empathy, ensuring every patient feels valued and supported throughout their treatment.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team dynamic.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, specifically treating sports-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
