What Will You Enjoy Doing

• Conducts unit cavity development on injection pilot machines, including setups, adjustments
and optimization of injection processes.
• Conducts production tool qualifications at ALPLA manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborates with Packaging Managers, mold experts, product designers and other project
experts to develop a robust pilot and production process.
• Collects, records and transcribes machine and process data.
• Accurately and efficiently performs QA testing and QA data analyses.
• Conducts evaluations on new materials, colors and additives.
• Develops and implements innovative systems and procedures that allow optimization of all
phases of the new product development process.
• Provides input on corrective actions.
• Ensures the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, to
meet customer requirements.
• Operates and performs preventative maintenance on material dryers and colorant additive
equipment.
• Purchases, operates, processes, stores and tracks all injection tools utilized for
development.

What Makes You Great

• BS in engineering or engineering technology preferred
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with injection molding process required
• Excellent organizational, communications, and multi-tasking skills
• Strong knowledge of blow molding material characteristics
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Skilled in Word, Excel and Outlook and willing/able to learn new software applications
• Detail oriented and able to use rigorous logic methods to solve complex problems
• Demonstrated ability to create technical reports
• Available to work a highly flexible schedule
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%
