Position
Manifold Bio is looking for an organized, motivated In-Vivo Research Technician to join our pharmacology team on a one-year contract. You will work alongside experienced researchers to prepare for and execute mouse studies supporting our internal drug discovery programs. This role is deliberately structured around training and growth. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational instincts, and genuine enthusiasm for learning the rest. Dosing routes, blood collection, necropsy and tissue processing can all be taught, and we are committed to teaching them. For the right person, this contract is intended as a path toward a permanent Research Associate position.
Required Qualifications
- Prepare and label tubes, cages and collection supplies ahead of each study
- Set up procedure rooms for dosing days and takedowns
- Hands-on experience with animal handling, including the ability to confidently scruff a mouse
- Comfort working with laboratory animals in a vivarium environment
- Tattoo and tail-mark mice; prepare and organize study cages
- Weigh animals and record data accurately
- Maintain study records in Benchling
- Help maintain lab and vivarium inventories
- Support necropsy and tissue collection (training provided)
- Process collected samples, primarily serum
- As time allows, assist with tissue weighing and lysis for downstream analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written protocols and SOPs accurately
- A proactive approach — someone who plans ahead rather than reacting
- Genuine enthusiasm for learning new techniques, and a collaborative, team-first attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with animal handling, including the ability to confidently scruff a mouse
- Experience with SC, IV or PO dosing
- Submental blood collection
- Necropsy and tissue dissection
